About Wassenaarse Golfclub Rozenstein
Wassenaarse Golfclub Rozenstein in Wassenaar, South Holland, is a parkland 18-hole golf course with plenty of water, facing the dunes at the village edge.
Rozenstein takes its name from a farmstead of the same name, where roses were grown for the perfume industry until 1897. The clubhouse of Wassenaarse Golfclub Rozenstein is a converted heifer barn, sold to the club by farmer Gerrit van Santen.
Wassenaarse Golfclub Rozenstein was founded on 4 September 1984, and its first nine holes, now the South course, opened for play in May 1986. Work on the second nine, the North course across the Kokshornlaan, began in 1992. Rozenstein has been playable as a full 18-hole course since August 1996.
The two nines at Rozenstein each have their own setting. The South course lies closer to the village of Wassenaar. The North course was laid out on former bulb land and looks out over the dunes and bulb fields.
Wassenaarse Golfclub Rozenstein is on the Dr. Mansveltkade, on the northern edge of Wassenaar. Besides the 18-hole course covered on this page, the venue has a par-3 course and a driving range.
