De Oosterhoutse Golf Club in Oosterhout, North Brabant, has an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course with water features, designed by Joan Dudok van Heel.
De Oosterhoutse Golf Club was founded in 1985. Joan Dudok van Heel laid out the course on land previously used for motocross, and Prince Claus officially opened the club on 10 September 1994. De Oosterhoutse hosted the Dutch National Open in 1998 and 2010. Golf architect Frank Pont later renovated almost every hole, concentrating on the green surrounds and bunkering.
De Oosterhoutse lies on the Dukaatstraat in Oosterhout, in parkland broken up by patches of woodland. The club itself stresses the views: you often only see how special a hole is when you turn round and look back.
The hardest hole at De Oosterhoutse by stroke index is the 6th, a 410-metre par 4 from the white tees. The 9th, a par 4, and the 10th, a par 3, share a pond that guards both greens. The round finishes on the longest hole, the 515-metre par-5 18th.
The two nines at De Oosterhoutse are not balanced. The front nine is a par 37 of 3,197 metres from the white tees, with two par 5s and a single par 3. The back nine is a par 35 of 2,947 metres with three par 3s. Either nine can be played on its own.
The championship course at De Oosterhoutse has ten par 4s, four par 3s and four par 5s. It measures 6,144 metres from the white tees and 4,166 metres from the orange tees. From the white tees the men's course rating is 73.3 with a slope of 139; from the yellow tees it is 71.8 and 129. For women, the course rating from the red tees is 72.0 with a slope of 131.
De Oosterhoutse also has a nine-hole par-3 course, the Academy Course, designed by Frank Pont: par 27 over 1,270 metres from the yellow tees.
