About Keppelse Golfclub

Keppelse Golfclub in Hoog-Keppel, Gelderland, is an 18-hole, par-71 course of woodland and open, links-like holes on the Ulenpas and Keppel estates.

Keppelse Golfclub lies on the Burgemeester Vrijlandweg in Hoog-Keppel, in the Achterhoek region of eastern Gelderland. The course is laid out over two country estates: the front nine mainly on the Ulenpas estate, the back nine on the Keppel estate.

Founded on 23 January 1926, Keppelse Golfclub was the eighth golf club in the Netherlands. It started as Golfclub Enghuizen on the Enghuizen estate near Hummelo, moved in 1931 to land owned by the Van Pallandt family near Keppel Castle, and took its current name in 1952.

The two nines at Keppelse Golfclub come from different architects. Frank Pennink and Jan Eschauzier reworked and lengthened the Ulenpasbaan in the 1980s; Bruno Steensels later designed the Keppelbaan, turning Keppelse into an 18-hole course. The Ulenpasbaan is a par 36 of 3,043 metres from the white tees, the Keppelbaan a par 35 of 2,687 metres.

A landmark hole at Keppelse is the 3rd, a 173-metre par 3 from the yellow tees, with Ulenpas Castle standing directly behind the green.

Over 18 holes, Keppelse Golfclub has four par 3s, eleven par 4s and three par 5s, measuring 5,730 metres from the white tees and 4,290 metres from the orange tees. From the white tees the men's course rating is 70.2 with a slope of 129; from the yellow tees it is 69.0 and 126. For women, the red tees carry a course rating of 70.9 and a slope of 126.

Keppelse Golfclub also has a short par-3/4 course laid out within the 18 holes: sixteen par 3s and two par 4s, par 56 over 2,186 metres from the yellow tees.

Visitors are welcome at Keppelse Golfclub with a handicap of 54 or lower, paying a green fee. Book your tee time in advance through the club secretariat.
