About Hooge Graven Golfclub Ommen

Hooge Graven Golfclub Ommen in Arriën, Overijssel, is an 18-hole, par-72 woodland and heathland golf course designed by Eschauzier & Thate.

Hooge Graven sits on sandy soil among woods, heath and ponds in the Vecht valley (Vechtdal). That sandy ground drains naturally, so Hooge Graven Golfclub Ommen stays playable almost all year round.

Hooge Graven Golfclub Ommen was founded in 1987 and started out with nine holes. Pieter van Vollenhoven officially opened the course on 25 September 1993. The club is on the Hessenweg Oost in Arriën, just north-east of the town of Ommen in the east of the Netherlands.

The championship course at Hooge Graven has ten par 4s, four par 3s and four par 5s, and measures 6,194 metres from the white tees and 4,417 metres from the orange tees. Men play the white tees at a course rating of 73.7 and a slope of 141, and the yellow tees at 72.9 and 137. From the red tees, the women's course rating is 73.7 with a slope of 135.

It is a par 37 of 3,291 metres from the white tees, against a par-35 front nine of 2,903 metres, and its men's slope from the whites is 151 compared with 131. The 14th, a 380-metre par 4 from the white tees, is stroke index 1. The longest hole is the 6th, a 503-metre par 5.
