About Golfvereniging De Swinkelsche

Can visitors play De Swinkelsche? Yes: green fee players are welcome on both the Championship Course and the par-3 Peelrijtbaan, which requires at least course permission (baanpermissie) or a handicap of 54. Book a tee time with the club in advance and carry your (digital) NGF card.
De Swinkelsche sits on the Maarheezerdijk, west of Someren and south-east of Eindhoven. The complex lies within the De Heihorsten nature reserve and has 27 holes in total.
The Championship Course at De Swinkelsche opened in 2013. Dutch golf architect Frank Pont designed it for the Swinkels brothers on former farmland enclosed by woodland on three sides. The flat fields were reshaped into a natural-looking heathland setting, with holes crossing heath, running past large water features and along and through mature pine forest. Large greens and irregular bunkers edged with fescue and heather complete the picture.
The standout hole at De Swinkelsche is the 11th, a short par 4 of 290 metres from the white tees. Almost as wide as it is long, it has a large sandy waste area in the middle, so you choose your own route to the green.
De Swinkelsche's Championship Course has ten par 4s, four par 3s and four par 5s, and measures 6,401 metres from the black tees and 5,021 metres from the red tees. From the black tees the men's course rating is 75.3 with a slope of 145; from the yellow tees it is 72.1 and 132. For women, the course rating from the red tees is 73.5 with a slope of 132. Each nine can also be played on its own at par 36.
The Peelrijtbaan at De Swinkelsche is a nine-hole par-3 course of par 27, measuring 770 metres from the yellow tees. It takes its name from the small brook that runs through the whole golf course.
