About Golfclub Zwolle
Golfclub Zwolle in Zwolle, Overijssel, is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by Alan Rijks in a natural setting beside the Wijthmenerplas lake.
Golfclub Zwolle was founded in 1985 and first played on the Soeslo estate. The club moved to its present site near the Wijthmenerplas in 1995, opening with nine holes. Golf architect Alan Rijks designed the extension to 18 holes, completed in mid-2005, and the course holds A-status from the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF).
The Golfclub Zwolle site on the Zalnéweg, on the edge of Zwolle, covers around 70 hectares. The club calls sustainability a priority and has laid out several eco-zones across the course.
The Golfclub Zwolle course has ten par 4s, four par 3s and four par 5s. The yellow tees are the longest here at 6,106 metres, followed by blue at 5,590 metres, red at 5,118 metres and orange at 4,335 metres. For men, the course rating from the yellow tees is 72.7 with a slope of 133; from the blue tees it is 70.0 and 124. For women, the course rating from the red tees is 73.3 with a slope of 128.
The two nines at Golfclub Zwolle can also be played on their own, and the back nine is the longer half. The front nine is a par 35 with a single par 5 and measures 2,879 metres from the yellow tees. The back nine is a par 37 with three par 5s and stretches to 3,227 metres. It includes the hardest hole by stroke index, the 11th, a 491-metre par 5, and the longest par 3, the 177-metre 12th.
Visitors are welcome at Golfclub Zwolle. To play the 18-hole course as a green fee player you need an NGF club handicap of 54 or better and your NGF card, which can be digital. Book a tee time in advance through the club's online booking system.
