About Golfclub Westland

Golfclub Westland in 's-Gravenzande, South Holland, is a nine-hole, par-27 golf course made up entirely of par 3s, laid out across football pitches.

Golfclub Westland started out as Golf Training Centrum Westland, set up by Bram Kloos with little more than a small cabin, a ball dispenser, a second-hand buggy and a few mats. It has since grown into a golf club accredited by the NGF, the Dutch golf federation, where members can register their handicap.

Golfclub Westland is a short course: its nine par 3s range from 70 metres at the 5th to 108 metres at the 7th. Several greens are guarded by bunkers and water. The 90-metre 3rd is stroke index 1.

A round at Golfclub Westland covers 788 metres over nine holes, or 1,576 metres at par 54 when you play the loop twice for 18 holes. The yellow and red tees share the same distances. Over 18 holes, the men's course rating from the yellow tees is 48.0 with a slope of 65; for women, the course rating from the red tees is 49.6 with a slope of 69.

Golfclub Westland lies on the Juliana Sportpark on the Koningin Julianaweg in 's-Gravenzande, with the course laid out over the pitches of football club FC 's-Gravenzande. The club describes itself as the only golf club in the Westland.

Visitors can play Golfclub Westland for a green fee, over nine or 18 holes; the guest rules on the club's website set out the conditions. Beginners earn their course permit at Golfclub Westland through the club's Start Gewoon course.
