About Golfclub Riel

Golfclub Riel in Geldrop, North Brabant, is a nine-hole, par-31 golf course near Eindhoven, designed by Berkelmans Greenkeeping.

Golfclub Riel was founded in 1986 by the DAF staff association, on a former football pitch. Volunteers first built a six-hole course there, which was extended to nine holes in the early 1990s. Riel became a public golf club in 1996. Its current layout is a design by Berkelmans Greenkeeping, which also built the course and handles its daily maintenance.

You will find Golfclub Riel on the Gijzenrooiseweg in Geldrop. Besides the nine-hole course, the club has a golf school, a covered driving range and a six-hole pitch and putt course called Zes Gehuchten.

The club describes the holes at Golfclub Riel as short but challenging. The only par 5 is the 3rd, at 463 metres from the yellow tees and rated the hardest hole by stroke index. The par 3s range from 58 metres on the 4th to 188 metres on the 6th.
