About Golfclub Oude Maas

Golfclub Oude Maas in Rhoon, South Holland, plays an 18-hole, par-71 parkland course beside the Oude Maas river, with plenty of water and trees.

Golfclub Oude Maas was founded on 10 February 1975 and first played on a nine-hole course near the Johannapolder. In 1980 the club moved to the Veerweg, to a new nine-hole layout by Frank Pennink. Gerard Jol extended it to 18 holes in 1992, and Alan Rijks led a renovation in 1998. The club celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025.

The course at Golfclub Oude Maas has a classic parkland feel. Its fairways are fairly wide, but trees and planting make them look narrower, and water features come into play in several places. Next to the 18 holes lies the Beverbaan, a par-3 course for a shorter round.

Golfclub Oude Maas is on the Veerweg in Rhoon, along the Oude Maas, about 15 minutes by car from Rotterdam. The venue is known as Rhoon Golfcenter: Golfclub Oude Maas is the members' club, while Rhoon Golfcenter runs the course and the driving range.

The 18 holes at Oude Maas include five par 3s, nine par 4s and four par 5s, with a par-36 front nine and a par-35 back nine. The course measures 5,748 metres from the white tees, 5,481 metres from the yellow tees and 4,746 metres from the red tees. The 4th is the longest hole, a 503-metre par 5 from the white tees, while the 12th, a 490-metre par 5, is stroke index 1.

For men, Golfclub Oude Maas has a course rating of 71.1 and a slope of 133 from the white tees, and 70.1 and 128 from the yellow tees. For women, the course rating from the red tees is 71.7 with a slope of 124.

Can visitors play Golfclub Oude Maas? Yes: visitors are welcome with at least a valid NGF course permit (baanpermissie) and a handicap of 54 or lower. Tee times and green fees are booked through Rhoon Golfcenter.
