Golfclub Bois-le-Duc

Golfclub Bois-le-Duc in 's-Hertogenbosch, North Brabant, plays at Golf Parc De Pettelaar, a nine-hole, par-29 course with water and elevation changes.

The club itself sums up the Golf Parc De Pettelaar course as short but tough. Fairways are narrow, water comes into play and the ground rises and falls by more than 10 metres. The heavily contoured greens average around 350 square metres and are guarded by about twenty bunkers.

Of the nine holes at De Pettelaar, seven are par 3s and two are par 4s: the 5th, at 291 metres from the yellow tees, and the 6th, at 331 metres and rated the hardest hole on the card. The nine measure 1,648 metres from the yellow tees and 1,481 metres from the red tees. Played twice as an 18-hole round, Golf Parc De Pettelaar is par 58 over 3,296 metres from yellow. For 18 holes, the men's course rating from the yellow tees is 57.9 with a slope of 105; for women, the course rating from the red tees is 59.1, also with a slope of 105.

Golf Parc De Pettelaar lies on the Meerendonkweg on the southern edge of 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), between the Pettelaarpark, home to the provincial government of North Brabant, and the A2 motorway. From the course you look out over the city skyline and St John's Cathedral.

Golfclub Bois-le-Duc was founded in 1996 and recognised by the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF) the same year. Its renovated nine-hole course opened in 1999. Golf Parc De Pettelaar is the club's home course, and membership of Bois-le-Duc is linked to an annual subscription with the park's operator.

Visitors can play De Pettelaar on a green fee with a handicap of 54 or better, and tee times can be booked online. Alongside the course, Golf Parc De Pettelaar has a floodlit driving range, a putting green and a chipping green with practice bunkers.
