Golf- & Countryclub Heiloo lies on the Lagelaan in Heiloo, a town next to Alkmaar. Its open layout means the wind is often in play, and good maintenance and excellent drainage keep the course playable almost all year round.
An 18-hole round at Golf- & Countryclub Heiloo means playing the nine twice, with two holes changed. The 15th is a different par 3 from the 6th, and the 16th is a par 5 where the 7th is a par 4. The front nine is par 34, the back nine par 35 and the full round par 69, with six par 3s, nine par 4s and three par 5s.
The 7th at Golf- & Countryclub Heiloo is stroke index 1: a 354-metre par 4 from the yellow tees, where a good drive lets you attack the water-guarded green in two. Water in front of the green makes the 16th, a 434-metre par 5 from yellow, hard to reach in two. The club calls the 6th, a 129-metre par 3 from yellow, one of its finest holes; a partly hidden pot bunker sits right of the green.

Men play the white tees off a course rating of 69.3 and a slope of 132, and the yellow tees off 69.0 and 119. Women play the red tees off a course rating of 69.5 and a slope of 117.
Golf- & Countryclub Heiloo has been a club since 1994. The landscaping is by Theo van 't Klooster's studio, and the course has held A-status from the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF) since November 2005.
Green fee players are welcome at Golf- & Countryclub Heiloo except during competitions and tournaments. You need a WHS handicap certificate showing 54 or lower, and tee times can be booked up to two weeks ahead. Without one, you can use the driving range with practice holes, the practice bunker and the putting green.
