Golfpark Gendersteyn in Veldhoven, North Brabant, is a golf course by Alan Rijks in woodland and heath, with three loops and an 18-hole round of par 71.
Golfpark Gendersteyn lies on the Locht in Veldhoven, close to Eindhoven, in a quiet spot on the edge of town where woodland, heath and small streams shape the landscape. The Dutch golf architect Alan Rijks designed the course. Formerly known as BurgGolf Gendersteyn Veldhoven, the golf park is now part of the Hollandsche Golfclub.
Gendersteyn is laid out as three loops that can be combined in several ways. The yellow loop crosses a varied landscape of woodland, heath and open ground, while the red loop winds through greenery with plenty of variation in hole length. The blue loop alternates wooded sections with open stretches and took its current shape after a redesign.
The 18-hole course at Golfpark Gendersteyn joins the yellow and red loops for a par of 71, made up of four par 3s, eleven par 4s and three par 5s. It measures 5,892 metres from the white tees, 5,739 metres from the yellow tees and 4,904 metres from the red tees. Men playing from white face a course rating of 71.5 and a slope of 130; from yellow the figures are 71.2 and 130. Women from the red tees play to a course rating of 72.1 and a slope of 126.
The yellow loop at Gendersteyn (par 36, 3,034 metres from white) opens with a 495-metre par 5, and its 4th hole, a 399-metre par 4, carries stroke index 1 as the hardest hole on the scorecard. The red loop (par 35, 2,858 metres from white) has just one par 5, the 463-metre closing hole. From the white tees it also has the shortest hole, the 16th: a 131-metre par 3.
