ESTEC Golf Club

ESTEC Golf Club in Noordwijk, South Holland, is a private nine-hole, par-29 golf course with ponds and raised dune areas on ESA's ESTEC site.

ESTEC Golf Club lies on the Keplerlaan in Noordwijk, on the site of ESTEC, the European Space Agency's technical centre. The private club is open to ESTEC staff, their families and retirees, and is a C-member of the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF).

ESTEC Golf Club plays over nine short holes: seven par 3s and two par 4s. Ponds and raised 'dune' areas form significant obstacles: a ditch crosses the 2nd, and there are ponds on the 3rd and 6th. The greens are relatively small and the fairways fairly narrow. The 3rd, a 297-metre par 4 from yellow, is the longest hole and stroke index 1. The 7th, at 198 metres from yellow, is the longest par 3.

Played twice, the nine holes of ESTEC Golf Club make an 18-hole, par-58 course of 3,230 metres from the yellow tees and 2,916 metres from the red. Men play yellow at a course rating of 58.2 and a slope of 101, or red at 56.2 and 100. Women play red at a course rating of 59.2 and a slope of 105.

Since 2024 ESTEC Golf Club has had orange tees for new players, juniors and high handicappers. On the 2nd, 3rd and 6th, with their ditch and ponds, the orange tees sit well forward, making every hole a par 3. This gives a parallel par-3 course: par 27 and 1,194 metres over nine holes, or par 54 and 2,388 metres over 18.

ESTEC Golf Club was founded in 1987, when its course opened as a nine-hole par-3 layout with holes of 95 to 175 metres. Seven years later it had been substantially improved, with two par 4s.

Visitors can only play ESTEC Golf Club as the guest of an active member, who accompanies them throughout and may bring up to three guests per round. Guests need an NGF or equivalent handicap card and must be registered with ESTEC site security. Walk-in green fee players are not admitted.
