DSV Concordia Golf

DSV Concordia Golf in Delft, South Holland, is a rolling nine-hole par-3 golf course with a par of 27, water hazards and bunkers, beside the Delftse Hout.

DSV Concordia Golf is the golf section of the Delftse Sportvereniging Concordia, a multi-sport club founded on 15 October 1885 as a cricket club. Football and tennis came later. The club moved to its current grounds in 1959 and added a golf section in 1973, so that whole families could join in.

Every hole at Concordia Golf is a par 3, from 69 metres at the 8th to 138 metres at the 2nd, which is stroke index 1. The yellow and red tees differ only on the 6th: 129 metres against 104. The nine measures 991 metres from the yellow tees and 966 from the red, or 1,982 and 1,932 metres for an 18-hole round of par 54. An older layout that also had par 4s is no longer available: the fields its 1st and 2nd holes crossed are getting artificial turf, where golf is not allowed.

The Concordia golf course lies on Brasserskade in the north of Delft, in the heart of the Randstad, with sports pitches on one side and the Hertenkamp, an old city park that forms part of the Delftse Hout, on the other. The club describes the Concordia course as undulating, with water features and around fifteen bunkers. A bird expert called the hedgerow along the 8th and the thorny shrubs beside the Hertenkamp holes a safe habitat for small birds.

Concordia Golf is a qualifying course, so you can obtain and maintain a handicap here. Over 18 holes, men from the yellow tees play to a course rating of 51.1 and a slope of 84. Women from the red tees face a course rating of 52.9 and a slope of 88.

Green fee players are welcome at DSV Concordia Golf with at least a Dutch golf course permit (golfbaanpermissie) or handicap 54. Booking a tee time online is compulsory, for nine or 18 holes up to three days ahead, and the course closes during club competitions.
